Cancellation & Refund Policy

A. Cancellation of Booking by Guest

  1. The lead guest must provide written confirmation of cancellation. The cancellation will take effect once it is received by Velvet Stays.

  2. A cancellation fee will apply as follows:

    • Cancellation made more than 60 days prior to the check-in date – 80% refund to the customer or option to reschedule.

    • Cancellation made between 30–60 days prior to the check-in date – 50% refund to the customer or option to reschedule.

    • Cancellation made within 30 days of the check-in date – No refund or reschedule will be provided.

  3. Rescheduling of booking is allowed within 6 months from the original booking date. The duration of the rescheduled stay must be equal to or longer than the original booking. Any price difference will be payable at the time of rescheduling. Rescheduling is permitted only once.

  4. Bookings made during prime dates (Holi weekend, Diwali weekend, and 24th December to 1st January) are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, irrespective of the booking date.

  5. The booking duration cannot be reduced during check-in or after check-in. In case of reduction in duration before the check-in date, the above cancellation and refund terms will apply.

  6. Velvet Stays reserves the right to modify the cancellation fees and terms at its sole discretion.

B. Cancellation of Booking by Host

  1. In the unlikely event that Velvet Stays or the host needs to cancel your reservation, every effort will be made to offer suitable alternative accommodation. If no alternative is available, a full refund will be issued.

  2. If the cancellation arises due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, government lockdowns, strikes, industrial actions, war, or any similar unforeseen circumstances, Velvet Stays shall not be held liable.

  3. Velvet Stays will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred due to booking cancellations, including flight tickets, travel expenses, or transportation arrangements, as these remain the responsibility of the guest.

C. Refund Policy

  1. For refundable bookings, the refund process will be completed within 7–10 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.

  2. Refunds will only be processed through the original payment method used at the time of booking.
